Call Specialist
The Call Specialist will serve as the first responder to incoming calls through either the 211 Information and Referral line or 988 Crisis line providing a compassionate and professional phone-based service to those reaching out for help. Call Specialists will maintain a thorough, working and intimate understanding of the 211 Northwest Florida database of human services for the ten-county service area of northwest Florida. Call Specialists will employ active listening and reflective statements to make a connection to the 211 caller and develop a clear understanding of their challenges, household demographics and referral needs. Using their knowledge of community resources and the household make-up of the caller the Call Specialist will provide accurate, detailed, and relevant referrals and information to resources that may be of assistance. Call Specialists will continuously maintain a readiness to respond to calls from those in a suicide, mental health or substance abuse crisis. Using evidenced based interventions, the Call Specialist will actively listen to the 988 caller, work to understand what the caller is experiencing, provide support, and collaborate with the caller on ways to feel better and connect with any needed resources. The Call Specialist will ensure that every 988 caller is screened for safety and will immediately draw upon the expertise and support of the 988 clinical team when a safety concern is identified. Development Manager
The Development Manager plays a critical role within United Way of West Florida (UWWF), driving both fundraising and program development efforts to support the organization’s mission and impact. This position is responsible for executing fundraising events, workplace campaigns, and supporting community-based program initiatives. The Development Manager also collaborates across departments with a preferred understanding of nonprofit accounting and database management to help align financial strategy with development and programmatic goals. Financial Security Manager
The Financial Security Manager manages programs and engages in partnerships that work to improve the financial security of individuals and families in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The Financial Security Manager works to identify programs and resources in the community that will benefit individuals and families through education, engagement, and collaboration. The Financial Security Manager is also responsible for growing a year-round financial education program that aligns with United Way of West Florida’s (UWWF) mission, vision, and strategic plan to support individuals and families within and below the Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) threshold. Healthy Schools Escambia Program Coordinator
The Healthy Schools Escambia Program Coordinator works closely with agencies and school personnel to implement the CDC’s Whole Schools, Whole Community, Whole Child model in the selected school. Data Analyst
The Data Analyst is a key member of the Community Impact team, providing analysis of funded program and internal program data, as well as providing administrative support functions related to the community investment process and United Way of West Florida’s community impact work. The Data Analyst works closely with Community Impact and Development to ensure the process of investing undesignated donor dollars is efficient, transparent, and yields the appropriate outcomes. This position provides support and oversight of the Get Connected volunteer platform and Andar development platform. The Data Analyst is also responsible for analyzing funded programs and internal programs report data and provides aggregate data reporting. Internship applicants must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma prior to the start date of the internship. Internships are not paid positions and follow the academic calendars of post-secondary institutions. Hours per week are dependent upon course requirements and/or position descriptions.
