School Supply Drive for Escambia & Santa Rosa Counties

On Thursday, July 23, United Way of West Florida and our partners brought the community together for another successful Stuff the Bus school supply drive!

As families face rising costs for everyday necessities, Stuff the Bus ensures students have the tools they need to begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Endorsed by both local school districts, this annual drive highlights what our community can achieve when West Florida unites behind its students.

2026 Community Impact by the Numbers

Held across six Walmart locations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, your generosity created an extraordinary impact for local classrooms:

$48,000 total value in school supplies collected for local students
240 community volunteers who staffed donation sites
$8,500+ in direct cash donations collected on event day
$18,500 raised in cash sponsorships
$2,500 contributed in in-kind sponsorships
100% of public schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties receiving distributed supplies

School districts sorted donated supplies and distributed them directly to schools across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
